COAL IT works in partnership with its clients, and this collaborative approach results in added value and tangible benefits. Our customers are able to take advantage of a complete range of logistics services from simple storage to complex staging and delivery services. All stock within the warehouse is tracked by a computerised system from receipt to delivery.

These services also benefit from our on-site lab facility that enables us to provide testing before delivery to reduce ‘dead on arrival’ situations and complete system builds at the warehouse to the customer’s requirements ahead of delivery. We can also supply installation engineers with the deliveries if required.

The infrastructure that supports these solutions comprises:

  • ITIL compliant City based 24X7 Service Desk and Network Operations Centre
  • City based Logistics Centre 8,000 sq ft
  • Hertfordshire based Logistics Centre 90,000 sq ft
  • City based Technical Lab facility for POC ( Proof of Concept ) / Training
  • Skilled Resource Pool


24X7 NOC and Service Desk

COAL IT provides an internal 24X7 Service Desk and Network Operations Centre to support its managed service customers and also runs bespoke dedicated Service Desks on behalf of customers supporting on site technical teams and liaising with 3rd party support companies on behalf of the customer. The internal Service Desk supports all our managed services and customer locations UK wide.

Lab Facility

Our Technical Centre provides a proof of concept lab and off-site testing facility. This service can be utilised by our clients as part of their on-sales customer services portfolio at no additional cost. Technologies that are available include and are not limited to:

  • Complete Microsoft portfolio
  • LAN / WAN
  • Multi-Casting
  • Cisco Systems of any combination
  • Complete Altiris portfolio
  • VMware products range
  • SAN


Technical Resource Pool

COAL IT provides technically vetted resourcing teams for a whole range of implementations and upgrades. We offer short-term high quality cover for illness, holiday and maternity leave as well as assistance with critical project deadlines. These resources support the whole range of services provided by COAL IT and can be deployed at short notice.

COAL IT undertakes face-to-face technical interviewing as well as sourcing certificates and references. This ensures all our people can ‘hit the ground running’. We appreciate the difference between ‘CV qualifications’ and the experience gained working in ‘live’ environments.

For every resource we provide, we develop their skills at our own cost through our continuous internal training programme at our bespoke Technical Facility in the heart of the Square Mile.
